Chocolate Nut Squares

GF Chocolate Nut Squares

2 sticks butter (softened)
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
1/4 tsp salt
2 cups GF all-purpose flour (I used King Arthur Gluten-free All Purpose Flour, found it at the grocery store)
1 bag chocolate chips (I used the milk chocolate ones)
chopped pecans or walnuts

Beat butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until well mixed. Add flour. Spread into a lightly greased 9×13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until browned. Remove from oven and pour chocolate chips over the top of it. Let sit for a few minutes to begin to melt, then spread the chocolate like frosting. Top with nuts and cut into squares.
