Review of Safe in His Arms

It’s release day for Melanie D. Snitker’s Safe in His Arms. I’m very excited because I had the opportunity to read it early. It’s a clean romantic suspense that will keep you flipping pages and groaning in frustration when something else demands your attention and you have to put it down. I recommend all of Snitker’s work, she writes Christian romance and this is her first romantic suspense novel.

51GKrwhm8yL__SX331_BO1,204,203,200_When a beautiful woman walks into his diner asking for a job, Joel Ash can’t bring himself to say no. The more he gets to know Anna, the more he’s convinced she’s hiding something. Intrigued and drawn to protect her, he prays he can ensure her safety and guard her heart. Even if it means risking his own in the process.

Anna Henderson is on the run. In a new town, she wants nothing more than to trust Joel and the family offering her a fresh beginning. She’s secured vital evidence that could put her obsessive ex behind bars and out of her life. But without the ability to access it, she’ll always be looking over her shoulder.

Worried her past will catch up with her, can Anna ever feel safe in Joel’s arms?

I really enjoyed Anna’s journey to independence and safety. She’s found life hard since the grandparents who raised her passed away and hasn’t known what it is to have a family in several years. I admire her for running away from an abusive relationship. Even though it meant living in her van, it’s exactly what she needed to do. She couldn’t run into a better man to insist on a job. Her fierce determination to be independent and scars from her past don’t make things easy on Joel at all. I love how he can’t resist falling for her even though she pushes him away. Readers will easily fall in love with him. This is a must-read for lovers of clean romance.

Review of Noelle’s Golden Christmas

My latest holiday read was Noelle’s Golden Christmas by Tamie Dearen. The Kindle version is on sale for $0.99 right now.

714c6f43-cda8-4d65-81f4-c5b52aec1b1fThis is the perfect book to get you in the Christmas spirit. Dearen’s characters are so life-like and relatable, you’ll be missing them when you finish the story. Noelle has some hard struggles to overcome. Christmas is such a depressing time for her and she’s afraid to trust anyone with her heart. Then two attractive guys enter the picture to tempt her. This sweet Christian romance will warm your heart and keep you laughing. It’s a must-read for the holidays.

Review of Unwrapped by Christina Coryell

If you’re looking for a sweetly romantic Christmas novella, grab this new one from Christina Coryell. Coryell is the author of the Camdyn Series and Unwrapped is a prequel that can be enjoyed even if you haven’t read any of the Camdyn books.Unwrapped 4

This is the perfect holiday romance to put you in the Christmas spirit. For those familiar with the Camdyn books, this is your chance to meet Grandma Willa in person. If you aren’t familiar with her, you’ll want her to be your grandma. The love story between Trina and Charlie is so sweet and it’s neat to get to see more of Trina and Camdyn’s friendship. I really enjoyed this!

Review of Finding Courage

The third book in Melanie Snitker’s Love’s Compass Christian romance series is here! Finding Courage. This is a must-read for anyone who loves sweet, clean romance.

If you’re new to this series, Finding Courage can stand on its own. However, Melanie carries characters over from previous books that can add to the story line.

For those of you who have read the other books in the series, you might enjoy knowing that a certain ex-cop from Finding Hope will make a guest appearance.

61MM9bMQ4HL__SX331_BO1,204,203,200_It takes courage to ask for a second chance…even more to extend one.

For Duke and Avalon McNeil, it was love at first sight. Married within months of meeting, their feet hardly touched the ground until the reality of their haste hit home with startling clarity.

Duke’s heart shattered when Avalon vanished for nearly three weeks, fleeing their arguments and misunderstandings. Now she’s back. He’s happy she’s home and safe, but he isn’t ready to risk everything again when their bond was so easily broken.

Avalon’s relieved to be home. She’s desperate to make peace between them, but returns with a secret. She can’t reveal anything to Duke until she proves to him she came back to restore their relationship.

Finding Courage is available on Amazon for only $0.99 through October 4th.

My Review:

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, the beginning pulls you in with nervous anticipation. Will Duke take Avalon back? Will he be happy to see her? They decide to work on getting to know each other better and save their marriage. It’s a rocky road dealing with Duke’s family, who are anything but happy that he married Avalon. I wanted to hug her! She put up with so much from them. Along with the sweet romance there is a little mystery thrown in as strange things start to happen around the McNeil farm. I absolutely enjoyed a character from Finding Peace making a return. Snitker’s characters are well crafted and realistic, some you love and some you love to hate. This is a wonderful story about finding the courage to admit you were wrong, to forgive and be forgiven, and to give someone a second chance. In a world where marriages fall apart regularly and people give up, it’s refreshing to read about a couple who do their best to save their relationship and renew their love for each other.

Book Review: Seaside Heartbeats

SeasideHunters300I’ve recently discovered this sweet romance series, the Seaside Hunters. The series follows five brothers who find love. The one I just finished is Seaside Heartbeats about the oldest Hunter brother.

SeasideHeartbeats450Sometimes love shows up when you least expect it.

After years of hard work, architect Lana Summers just wants a relaxing vacation in the beach town of Kittle Falls. Instead, she suffers unexpected heart problems, and finds herself in the office of a gorgeous cardiologist—who only makes her heart work harder.

Brayden Hunter left his successful cardiology practice in Dallas to be closer to his aging parents. Focused on building a health care clinic in his hometown, he doesn’t want any distractions. However, the beautiful Lana is one he can’t seem to avoid.

As their attraction grows, they stumble upon a 160-year-old mystery. Brayden catches her adventurous spirit as they chase after answers, and he can’t help falling for her. But can he convince her to stay in the small beach town and with him?

My review:

I’m absolutely in love with the clean romance genre. This one is between a cardiologist who forms an attraction with a heart patient. Obviously, he soon decides he needs to give her file to another doctor. It’s a sweet romance mixed with a little mystery. The book takes you on a journey with them to solve the disappearance of the town’s founder 160 years ago. This is a series that is easy to fall in love with. The characters are well developed and endear themselves to you quickly. I will definitely read more by this author.

About Stacy:

IMG_6626-edit-smI’ve always been an avid reader and a writer. When I was a teenager, I would always be in the middle of reading at least five books. Not only could I keep up with each story line, but I also never needed a bookmark! These days, I’m lucky to remember what I went for into the kitchen.

There’s more to me than writing and reading. I’m the mom of two wonderful and adorable boys that I educate from home. I enjoy making jewelry and being active outside. I also enjoy watching shows that are similar to what I write: Supernatural, Pretty Little Liars, Lost Girl, Once Upon a Time, Vampire Diaries, and more.
